Refund Policy of African Language Academy Australia (ALAA) Pty Ltd

So, we always ensure that you are satisfied with our Services and Products. Please read the below payment and refund terms carefully. This document outlines the conditions of the payment and refund policy that apply to all our customers’ transactions and their representatives and affiliates who are bound to an agreement with us to receive our services such as lessons, booklets and other materials that it considers as an integral part of our payment/refund terms of use.

PAYMENT TERMS

All credit/debit cards details and personally identifiable information will NOT be stored, sold, shared, rented, or leased to any “third parties”.

“We accept payments through bank to bank or online using Visa and MasterCard credit/debit card in AUD (Australian dollar).

Please, be informed that in case the User’s local currency is different from AUD, it will be automatically converted into selected deposit currency. The exchange rate and any other fees associated with the transaction are calculated and deducted by your card issuer. That works only for cards.

All payment-related terms and all payments that you will be charged are managed and handled by the ALAA Platform. We require an initial deposit of 25% or as per instalment arrangements and the remaining payment should be paid before the end of the school term. By accepting the Terms and Conditions of this Agreement, you agree that alaa.com.au may charge Your credit or debit card or any payment mechanism that you choose and accepted by alaa.com.au for all the due payments towards the service. By providing your debit card or credit card information, you authorize us to directly deduct payment from the card provided for the agreed-upon charges. We will initiate the deduction following as per the agreed payment schedule.

You acknowledge that this authorization will remain in effect until you provide us with a written notification of withdrawal of authorization or until the services are completed. All the charges that you will pay to alaa.com.au under this Agreement will be free from any deductions or withholding as may be required by law. In the event if any such deduction or withholding is required on any payment, you agree to pay such additional amounts as are necessary so that the net amount received by Alaa.com.au is equal to the amount due and payable under this Agreement.

General

Any benefits set out in this Policy may apply in addition to consumer’s rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Refund Process

Refund requests will be processed within business days from the date of receipt. Approved refunds will be issued using the original payment method used for the subscription purchase. We reserve the right to deny any refund requests if we suspect any violation of our terms of service or abuse of the refund policy.

Cancellation and Change of Mind-

Because of the nature of paying our facilitators per lesson delivered, as soon as you confirm with us that you are satisfied, we go ahead with the classes, therefore you have 14 days to cancel the order if you change your mind. In the case of services, the services have not already been performed.

  • The following conditions are satisfied:

If services have started, then we retain 25 per cent of the total cost for admin purposes.

  • To be eligible for a refund, repair or replacement, you must provide proof of purchase.
  • You may be required to provide a government issued identification to qualify for a refund, repair or replacement.

Under the Australian Consumer Law

The Australian Consumer Law provides a set of Consumer Guarantees which protect consumers when they buy products and services. If the Australian Consumer Law applies, then we cannot avoid the Consumer Guarantees which it provides. If there is an inconsistency between this Policy and the Australian Consumer Law, the Australian Consumer Law will prevail. If a product or service which you purchased from us has a major failure, then you may be entitled to a replacement or refund.
