7. Testimonials and Success Stories:

• I appreciated the professionalism and punctuality demonstrated throughout the class, particularly with the well-prepared PowerPoint slides. An unexpected but delightful part of the lesson was learning the Shona vowels, which brought back memories of my school years and made the experience feel both authentic and professional. Additionally, I was grateful that the lessons were tailored to fit my current situation, especially as I was preparing to meet my in-laws. This personalized approach made the learning even more relevant and valuable to me–Mirriam, WA.

• I would recommend ALAA. I’ve spoken so glowingly about it for the simple fact that I aim to demonstrate that we’re never too old or established to go back to our roots… And with Level 1 we’re talking the roots. Yet it’s sparked so much interest in many others because it simply takes one to take that first plunge. I not only have family members who have grown up here, but new additions to the family who are born here. There are many young Zimbabweans who could truly benefit from this, especially with a teacher like Mr. Mdege. His commitment to constantly learning to ensure he’s constantly adding lots of value is something I can’t speak highly of. I look forward to taking the rest of the Shona levels when time permits and I certainly hope he’s the Shona teacher for the foreseeable future. Thank you ALAA–Kuda, WA
